  • Medical kit including anti- diarrhoea tablets and oral re-hydration treatment
  • Alarm clock/watch
  • Torch
  • Photocopy of passport and important items
  • Address book
  • Sunglasses
  • Sleeping sheet
  • Teaching & Projects Abroad Office contact details
  • Money belt
  • Breathable waterproof jacket especially in the rainy season, June - September
  • Day rucksack
  • Guide book (Bradt Guide is good)
  • Towel
  • A few good novels
  • Swimming gear
  • Water bottle
  • Small padlock
  • Dressy clothes for the occasional big night there is quite a lively social scene especially in Accra

Specifically for your Project:

  • Small supply of surgical gloves
  • Clothing - smart casual
    • Men: Short/long sleeved shirts, trousers, polish-able shoes
    • Women: Long skirts/ trousers, blouses - please make sure that you do not expose your mid-rift/ shoulders
  • White lab coat (optional)
  • Stethoscope (optional)
  • The Oxford Concise Handbook of Clinical Medicine (optional)
